Zaid Ayasa
Zaid graduated with a B.A. in Fine Arts Al-Najah National University, Palestine. In 2008. Then he continued double major as a Graphic Designer in2010. SAE Institute, Amman.
Zaid developed himself with a variety of media including digital art, painting, photography, video, and music. He used his own techniques and materials by using digital art and painting and drawing media. A large part of his art work and projects that he accomplished by using numeric digital art.
He’s aspiration quote that he said is; “My passion for art has no limits, dimensions, into shapes and forms. Art preserves my soul from coarseness. It moves me slowly but surely, almost invisibly yet radically by vice versa. It’s the fuel feeds for the fire within me and allows me to experience and express passion that inspire me. To me, it is an endless opportunity of moments and connections with inspired meanings”. He is fascinated by rhythmic multiculturalism and diversity, and he is passionate for traditional folk and indigenous music. Ayasa is a well-known musician and has performed in many musical concerts, shows and festivals in Palestine, Jordan, UAE. Italy.

Currently, Ayasa works as a graphic and branding designer. He has worked on many advertising and branding campaigns. In 2015, he worked in UAE as a graphic designer and returned to Palestine after two years due to the economic crisis in the Gulf. He continues to work in the field as freelancer and where he has secured as number of contracts with advertising campaigns, companies, and restaurants in Palestine, Jordan, Romania, Italy and the UAE.
He is also working on art projects that dialogue with the Palestinian reality of land and peace issues. He says: “I focus on humanity itself, the daily details of worries and dreams, frustrations and joy, daily life and the politics. Through my art, I attempt to express the interactions and the constant negotiations with the miseries, the nonsense, the siege, and blockade, the apartheid wall, the roadblocks, the tragedies and suffering, the calamities, the racism, the right to land, property, private space, peace.
I am always questioning myself and others through art: why war and death, why occupation and violence? Life is too short and too precious. How can we live in peace?”. His art revolves around types and forms of artistic resistance, as expressed in heritage and clothing, and as in the Palestine Land, Man of Jerusalem, Sabir life, The Absent present and more.
Ayasa dreams to exhibit his work locally, regionally, and globally. However, the art scene in Palestine suffers from the daily miseries of the occupation, poor economic conditions, and lack of institutional support and funding to emerging artists. His goal is to secure a scholarship for a graduate degree in art. When asked about his most personal dreams, he said: “I dream of a large space where he can offload the many lines, ideas, and themes that linger in my skull and soul, carry my body on my shoulder, rendezvous with my many selves to talk about a better future under a green sun”.

I have a passion for movement, am addicted to rhythm. I hear and watch all vibrations and hues of sound emanating around me. Drumming is like a primal, guttural, unarticulated call that rises up in me an unleashed yet healthy expression, as well as the desire to unravel, to play, to fly, to pray
